Biography

Michele Tadini was born in Milan (Italy) on November 17th, 1964.
He actually lives in Paris and teaches composition (“Option Musique Mixte”) in the CNSMD (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Dance) of Lyon.
He graduated from Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan in Guitar (with Ruggero Chiesa), Composition (with of Sandro Gorli and Giacomo Manzoni) and Electronic Music (with Riccardo Sinigaglia) and he studied with Franco Donatoni at the “Accademia Chigiana” of Siena and at the “Scuola Civica di Milano” – contemporary music department.
He directed the Tempo Reale Center in Florence (founded by Luciano Berio), the IRMus (“Istituto di Ricerca Musicale”) in Milan and has been Chief of the Department of Production and Research of “Agon” in Milan.
His music has been performed in many festivals in Europe, US, Latin America, Canada, Japan and Australia and his catalogue includes also works for theatre, dance, video, interactive installations, radio, television and film.
During his career he obtained the diploma of merit at the Accademia Chigiana of Siena (1985) and he achieves many awards including the Prix Italia 2008 with the radio opera La Musica Nascosta text by Tiziano Scarpa, with Claudio Bisio and Valentina Montanari, the “Prix A.R.T.S. 2011” (Atelier Arts Sciences of Grenoble), with the project La Terza Luce and the “Premio SIAE” 2013 with the piece Argot/gergo for eight double-basses and electronics.
His works are published by Edizioni Suvini Zerboni.
